Hey people! It has been nearly four years since our beloved TV show, Frasier stopped airing. And even though we cannot get the great comedy series out of our minds and hearts, life has to go on. So, it is great that all the stars from the series have moved on with their careers and we get to see them entertaining us through their brilliant performances in one show or the other. Another darling star from the show is going to mesmerize us with his histrionics in another great series on HBO. Well, if you don’t know who I am talking about, let me tell you that I am referring to John Mahoney, the good old guy from Frasier series whom we knew as Martin Crane on the show.
John was seen on Frasier episodes from day one and remained with the series till its last day. Now he is all set to make an appearance in Season 2 of In Treatment which is scheduled to premiere on the 5th of April this year. It has been reported that the former Frasier star will be seen as a patient on the show. He will be playing the role of a CEO, who feels that life has begun to pass him by and hence approaches psychoanalyst Weston, played by Gabriel Byrne, for help. Well, as the actor performs a non-comic role, we will get to see other facets of his talent. I think that sounds pretty interesting. I am surely looking forward to see his appearance in this new role.
As we all know, Frasier was one of the best comedies that have been aired on American Television for many years. It was not only beautifully scripted, but the performance of each and every actor was brilliant and beyond compare. It had a cult following of its own and it will not come as a surprise to me if soon there are reunions of Frasier fans! It’s really sad that such a successful show was cancelled after the airing of Season 11, because some people though that the show had lost its charm. But I tend to disagree with them as I feel that Frasier still is amongst the most liked and loved shows of all times!
