‘Frasier’ season 1 was premiered on September 16, 1993 and the season opener was entitled ‘The Good Son’. Season opens from where the series’ predecessor ‘Cheers’ left off. In the season opener, we see that Dr. Frasier Crane bids farewell to Boston, returns to his hometown Seattle, and accepts a job as a host of a radio advice show on Station KACL. He moves to Seattle just to live a peaceful life but all his plans are shattered when his father Martin Crane, a retired police man, joins him. Daphne Moon, Martin’s semi psychic caregiver and Eddie, his tiny, phlegmatic dog also move into Dr. Frasier’s luxurious apartment. Niles Crane, Dr. Frasier’s younger brother and a psychiatrist, lives nearby and his frequent visits also create mayhem in our hero’s life. In the first season of series, Niles Crane develops a crush on Daphne Moon but doesn’t disclose it to her. During the first season, various supporting characters were introduced such as- Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, KACL’s Resident sports show host; Bebe Glazer as Dr. Frasier’s carnivorous agent; and Roz’s moony eyed admirer and full time star Trek buddy Noel Shempsky. The most popular episode of season is entitled ‘The Show where Lilith comes back’. In this episode, we see that Frasier’s ex-wife Lilith visits Seattle apparently to attend a convention. But later Dr. Frasier finds out, that she has some other motives as well.
‘Frasier’s first season finale ‘My Coffee with Niles’ was aired on May 19, 1994. Season finale shows Dr. Frasier’s meets with Niles at Café Nervosa to discuss the first anniversary of Dr. Frasier’s move to Seattle. ‘Frasier’ finished its first season earning four Emmy Awards as Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.

Dr. Frasier advises Niles to sort out the matter with Maris after they’ve a fight. Niles tries to do so but all his efforts go in vain. He arranges a reconciliatory dinner but everything backfires and he and Daphne end up alone together on a dark and stormy night. Dr. Frasier must reach them before Niles crosses his boundaries.
