Peri Gilpin was born in Texas and his father late Jim O’Brien, was a Baptist minister, a musician and radio/TV news weatherman as well. She has two siblings- Marc Gilpin and April Gilpin and both are actors. Initially, her name was Peri Kay Oldham but she later changed it as Peri Gilpin. Peri graduated from Skyline High School and she also studied acting at University of Texas at Austin and the British American Academy in London.
She runs a production company named Bristol Cities with her ‘Frasier’ co-star Jane Leeves. She gave her voice to several animated characters such as- Jane Proudfoot in ‘Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within’; Desiree in ‘Danny Phantom‘; Volcana in ‘Superman: The Animated Series’; and Kate Corrigan in ‘Hellboy’ animated shows. Her TV credits include ‘Medium’, ‘Desperate Housewives’, ‘Frasier’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’. Her guest appearances are: ‘Designing Women’, ‘Cheers and Wings’ etc. She’s married to Christian Vincent and they have two kids.
